I was reading an article the other day addressing the type of service that you receive from the online Catholic Book and Gift stores. There are a lot of great sites out there. However, there are a lot of great brick and mortar stores in our own communities that would love to have you in the pews every Sunday.
The selection may not be as large but it is still worth a look before you go jump on the internet. Asks! Many store owners are willing to order what you want need and can often get it to you as quickly as the online stores.
With that being said, the local stores need to work hard to earn your business. Customers expect to see bright, clean stores with a large selection of items. Friendly service is a must. Your fellow parishioners may shop there once out of fellowship or friendship but in order to stay in business, you need them to keep coming back for more.
