Calissa Media (@ CalissiaMedia) has come out with their latest iPhone App.  Kids Puzzle is a game geared for toddlers as young as two and a half; something to keep them occupied and entertained while they learn their Catholic Faith through prayer cards of popular Catholic Saints.

The game features some of the most popular Catholic Saints portrayed in colorful prayer cards, against soothing and peaceful nature-themed background. As each puzzle is unlocked, the name of the Saint is pronounced out loud by a toddler voice so that your child can learn to repeat the names out loud as they play along.  Each puzzle includes attractive sound effects such as birds chirping and harp notes. Kids Puzzle increases in difficulty as more puzzles are unlocked.

No need to search through the youtube site to find good Catholic videos!  You can find them all at Catholic Online.  They have a recent addition that has hundreds of good faithful Catholic videos to share with family and friends.  Among the ones that I found interesting are:

This article from the July/August edition of Crisis Magazine is a good reflection on what makes something “Catholic”. Over on my other website; www.Catholicfamilymedia.com, I am have a selection of movies and CDs that I market to Catholic families. One of the struggles that I have is how to decide what products to sell on the site. As Mr. Foley notes in the article, there are many titles that are explicitly Catholic. These are definitely included on the site. It gets kind of difficult after that. Mainly, I try consider if it is something that I would be comfortable sharing with my family.

After reading this article, I would have to say that most, if not all of my selection falls in the explicit category. It may be time to expand! What do you think?
