Just in time for Lent!

Calissa Media (@ CalissiaMedia) has come out with their latest iPhone App.  Kids Puzzle is a game geared for toddlers as young as two and a half; something to keep them occupied and entertained while they learn their Catholic Faith through prayer cards of popular Catholic Saints.

The game features some of the most popular Catholic Saints portrayed in colorful prayer cards, against soothing and peaceful nature-themed background. As each puzzle is unlocked, the name of the Saint is pronounced out loud by a toddler voice so that your child can learn to repeat the names out loud as they play along.  Each puzzle includes attractive sound effects such as birds chirping and harp notes. Kids Puzzle increases in difficulty as more puzzles are unlocked.

Get the game now and sit back as your toddler plays, has fun and learns about their Catholic Faith through a new and exciting medium. Just remember to turn the volume off during Mass.  :)

Seven Deadly Sins

Based on Dante’s writings, the seven deadly sins correspond to the seven stories of Dante’s Mt. Purgatory. Pride, envy, anger, sloth, gluttony, avarice and lust are all presented as patterns of dysfunction within us that lead to unhappiness. Father Barron explains the nature of these sins and offers a corresponding virtue for each one, giving practical advice on how to instill this virtue in your own life.

Father Barron shows us how to counteract these seven sinful patterns through a conscious process of opposition, which are the Seven Lively Virtues.

Sarah’s Choice – When Life Becomes Reality

Here is another good family film that offers compelling moral reasons to choose life.

Sarah Collins is a young woman on the elevator of success, poised to attain her dream of an executive corner office. There’s only one thing that’s going to keep her from getting it, an unexpected pregnancy.

Sarah has a hard decision. Her friends and co-workers insist that she has the right to choose what will be best for her; a successful career and unlimited material rewards. But according to a mysterious stranger, and three visions, Sarah can make a choice that will not only change her life but the lives of her loved ones both now and forever.

With financial pressures mounting and her dream career at stake, what will Sarah choose?

To Save a Life

Haven’t seen this movie yet but my 15 year old daughter says it is great.  I hope to see it soon.
